kcw inspiration: traveling all over the world
Hi I’m Jill,  hailing all the way from New Zealand! (Kia Ora!)
I sew for my three kids (and occasionally for myself) and also document it all from my blog, Heal & Make New. I am joining in with the particular seasonal KCW challenges for a little while now and simply love it!
I’m really excited to be presenting to you some sewing ideas from around the world. I don’t know about you but I’d want to go on a fabric and also sewing tour with this planet. I would complete my suitcase along with Liberty fabrics from London and hands embroidered dresses via Mexico, I’d amazing at the traditional batik material stamping methods in India and operate my hands by means of beautiful silks from China. I’d admire the simplicity of Japanese patterns and also take photos associated with French fashion whilst strolling along the Pond Seine. Although this is only a dream, it doesn’t mean we can’t please take a virtual trip right now!
Today’s destinations Italy, India and The japanese.

Grab your croissant simply because our first quit is France, the form capital of the World.
When I think French childrens wear, I think associated with crisp linen, blue and white beating, beautiful tailoring as well as smartly dressed kids. It’s true that often kids get the raw stop of the deal in terms of patterns available along with general sewing motivation out there online. Nevertheless, there is just so significantly you can sew for the petit homme within the French design. I’ve used your Blank Slate Standard Blazer in my university below, but numerous Blank Slate patterns can be used with a People from france twist.

Now we say au revoir’ to France along with namaste’ to India. Once i think of Indian apparel I think of vibrant colours, gorgeous saris, wonderful lightweight cotton typically hand stamped with elaborate designs. You might want to have a go at stamping a few fabric yourself and then whip your child upward a one of a sort kaftan or pair of harem jeans. You should be able to find a stamp either about Etsy (like this beautiful a single) or perhaps at your community craft store. (Or you’ll just buy a number of pre-made; Fabric.com carries a great selection … which includes metallics ohh!)
